Chongqing Arhat Temple

The Arhat Temple in Chongqing is famous for and takes its name from 700 life-size and vivid arhat statues in the temple, formerly know as Zhiping Temple as first built in the North Song Dynasty. It was changed to the current name when the arhat hall was built in the Qing Dynasty. There are also treasured 400 Buddha statues engraved in ancient time.
